Here are the different partners organizing the 17th European Reading Conference
International level
The IDEC committee (International Development in Europe Committee) is one of the 8 regional committees of International Reading Association. It consists of 32 National Reading Associations in Europe affiliated to IRA. The current chair of IDEC is Ms Meeli Pandis (Estonia).
The Federation of European Literacy Associations (FELA) is a legal not-for-profit entity registered in the European Union, gathering, as active members, 27 Literacy Associations in Europe that are legally established within their own countries. The current chair of FELA is Mr Gerry Shiel (Ireland).
Local level
The Belgian Francophone Reading Association (ABLF/BELFRA) is a not-for-profit Association promoting mutual understanding and cooperation among educators of all levels - teachers, socio-educational workers, teacher trainers, researchers, librarians, publishers. The President of ABLF is Mr Serge Terwagne.
The Institute of Educational Management (Institut d'Administration Scolaire - INAS) of the University of Mons studies classroom practices, educational systems, school organization and teacher training programmes, in Belgium and internationally. Its Director is Pr. Marc Demeuse.
