Presentation formats
Presenters may apply to present a paper presentation, a symposium, a round table, or a poster.
Details are as follows:
Paper presentation
A paper may feature significant theoretical reviews, research studies in areas of emergent or innovative educational practice, case studies, evaluations or projects. The Programme Committee will group two or three papers in one session, according to their topic and/or the language of the presentation.
A presenter is allocated 30 minutes: 20 minutes for presentation, and 10 minutes for discussion.
Symposium
This is a session organised by the person submitting the symposium proposal. It allows several speakers to present on a common topic and then engage in interaction with each other and with the audience. Length: 90 minutes. Reserve 15 minutes for discussion. If required, presenters may apply for more than one session.
Round Table Discussion
A paper is presented in some detail by one or more presenters and discussed with a small audience. This format is appropriate for papers addressing topics best pursued through in-depth discussion. Length: 45 minutes.
Workshop
The organiser conducts activities in which participants will learn about a certain approach or tools. Formal presentation is kept to a minimum. Length: 45 minutes.
Poster Presentation
A visual display is prepared in order to present a study, a project, an experiment etc. The presenter stands next to the poster and discusses the work in an individualised and informal way. Length: 45 minutes. Size of the posters: 80 cm x 120 cm.
